Italian Art & Architecture

This section could cover volumes. Suffice it to say that Italy has so much art and architectural styles owing to the diversity of its people and its long history. Italy has been the home to Greeks, Romans, Etruscans, Celts, Germanic tribes and many other peoples in between. Each group created and/or brought their own style of interpreting the world through their art and architecture. Further, as time went on, Italy created new styles based on old models (see Romanesque) or harked back directly to its ancient past in both art and architecture (see the Renaissance).

Italy today still enjoys being on the cutting edge of new artistic styles while blending old classical architectural achievements with new and modern ideas.  But it is however, also very cognizant of its past and its role as a treasure chest of culture for Western civilization.

Joseph Walker’s Italy Revealed offers itineraries that highlight art and/or architecture from a certain epoch, or that blends many ages and styles into one program. Italy Revealed even offers programs for artists who wish to paint the Tuscan landscape or to enjoy a study tour with a modern day Italian architect. To the simple enjoyment of Italy achievements to something more insightful, Italy revealed is always ready to assist its guests. Contact Italy Revealed at reservations@walkertravels.com today.
